Vocations Committee
We pray for and support vocations for the overall Church, but in a special way for our Archdiocese and Parish. We have a Vocations Holy Hour on the first Thursday of each month from 10-11 am in the Adoration Chapel.
We develop a Vocations Holy Card with all the Religious from St. Clement of Rome Parish, encouraging prayer for each one of them and for those discerning a Religious vocation.
Annually, we invite all our Religious to attend a Mass, Rosary, and reception with all the faithful so we may keep in touch. This usually occurs in August.
Additionally, we actively participate in two Vocation Chalice Programs – one for parishioners and one for our school children - where weekly a family/homeroom brings the Chalice into their home/classroom to pray for vocations. Please contact Jeanne Fluri if your family would like to bring the Vocation Chalice home for a week.
PSR has a Vocation Crucifix that moves from classroom to classroom.
Our ministry meets once or twice per year. All are welcome to join our committee. It is mainly made up of St. Clement parishioners who are members of the St. Louis Serra Club. Serra Club prays for an increase to the Priesthood and Religious Life and supports our Priests and Religious in St. Louis. St. Clement Parish has the largest percentage of members in the St. Louis Serra Club.
