Fall Update from the
Grand Knight

Welcome to  you all the website surfers who are accessing our new and improved website. We are so happy to have you learn about our Council and we welcome your support and feedback. The reason you are able to check out this online update is because Jay Staley has created the substance of this website. He had some help early in the process from Tad Davies and Matt Collier, so we all thank them for helping to get the electronic word out.
Our Council received the prestigious Double Star Award for the second year in a row. This means we doubled the expectations for excellence that our state Knights of Columbus organization has established for all Missouri Councils. Our Council’s past leadership has set the course, true and steady, to allow our very active members to attain such high levels of performance and excellence. Wow, all who volunteered, both Knights and many others, accomplished so much and did so many good things, it is easy to understand why we received such a great honor. Congratulations and thank you.
Please check out our monthly meeting minutes on the website to see all that we have done, all that we are doing and all that we plan to do.
Fall is a very active time for our Council, which means we undertake many activities and therefore we need a lot of help. Can you help? Take a look at what we are doing and, remember that anyone can volunteer to assist us in our good works.

Pat Walsh has organized our efforts to help repair the youth house on some fall Saturdays. We are doing some light repairs and painting; can you help? Call or email Pat at 314-565-3039 or pat.j.walsh@sbcglobal.net.
We really need everyone’s help for our most important and biggest fundraiser, to help the mentally challenged, .the Tootsie Roll Drive, October 7-9. Please call or email Tom Daly at 314-821-1682 or 314-920-7514   thomaspdaly@hotmail.com
Mark your calendars for one or more of the five Sunday morning pancake breakfasts:
November 6th, December 12th, January 14th, February 10 and March 9th
Please call or email Tony Sausville to volunteer  314-821-7092    as1951@swbell.net
On October 28 we will be having our Fall BBQ and Rich Armbruster needs our help in many different areas. Call him at 314-822-4569 or email armbruster.gjr@sbcglobal.net
Help us raise money to support financially needy seminarians by offering to sell raffle tickets, to win 4 great seats to the final Card-Cubs game, after Sunday masses. Mike Berra needs help for The Seminarian Raffle on Sept 10, 11, 17and 18. Call or contact him at 314-965-9065 or 314-808-5356   mwberra@communityretread.com
We need help with other things, such as organizing, packing and sending Christmas care packages to our parish soldiers abroad, the Baby Bottle Campaign to collect loose change for pro-life assistance, our Christmas Party and volunteering to work one fund raiser during the Tilles Park Christmas light show.
We know that today we are a good organization, but what can you do soon to help us be even better tomorrow? We have a lot to do, because our world needs a lot of help.
I hope you enjoyed this update. Please send me an email at (funtime001@sbcglobal.net) to comment or suggest new ideas and directions. I appreciate the feedback.
